Why use a consultant

What we do that a bank won't.

01

Bank vs NBFC

Public banks are cheaper but slower; NBFCs are faster and more flexible. We match the choice to your deadline.

02

Visa timelines

We push for sanction letters in time for your university and visa deadlines.

03

Margin & collateral

We help you work out the parent's contribution and whether collateral will get you a better deal.

FAQ

Education Loan questions.

When does repayment start?
Most education loans have a moratorium for the course duration plus 6–12 months. Interest usually accrues during this period; paying just the interest while studying reduces the total cost.
Can I get an education loan without collateral?
Yes, typically up to ₹7.5 lakh under the government credit guarantee scheme, and higher with some NBFCs for well-ranked universities. Larger amounts at the lowest rates usually need collateral.
Is there a tax benefit?
Interest paid on an education loan may be deductible under Section 80E for up to 8 years, under the old tax regime. Please confirm with your CA.
What expenses are covered?
Tuition, hostel and living costs, books, laptop, travel and exam fees are commonly covered, subject to the lender's limits and the university's cost estimate.
